Antonio Saba is an Italian photographer and visual artist based in Dubai, UAE, where he has lived and worked since 2016. With a career spanning more than three decades, he is internationally recognized for his distinctive visual language, positioned at the intersection of fine art, luxury, architecture, and cinematic storytelling. Antonio is an officially brand-approved photographer for some of the world’s most prestigious luxury hospitality groups, including Hilton, Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, Rosewood, and LXR. Over the years, his work has taken him across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, producing architecture, lifestyle, and staged photography for landmark hotels, cultural institutions, and international magazines. His commissions often go beyond documentation, evolving into carefully constructed visual narratives that express atmosphere, identity, and emotion. Whether working on large-scale commercial productions or deeply personal artistic projects, Antonio’s practice is driven by an obsessive and rigorous pursuit of beauty in its many visual, symbolic, and conceptual forms. His imagery is immediately recognizable for its cinematic tension, surreal undertones, and refined sense of composition, where reality and imagination coexist in a suspended, almost dreamlike dimension. Alongside his photographic practice, Antonio serves as a personal photography consultant to a prominent member of the Dubai Royal Family, advising on visual strategy, image curation, and artistic direction. His most important recent body of work is collected in the coffee table book Antonio Saba, Chasing Beauty, curated by acclaimed art critic Vittorio Sgarbi and introduced by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum. The publication represents a synthesis of his artistic vision, bringing together architecture, portraiture, staged scenes, and symbolic imagery in a coherent aesthetic philosophy. Three of Antonio’s fine art photographs from this period have been acquired into the permanent collection of the Civic Museums of Cagliari, Italy. Antonio has held numerous solo exhibitions internationally, including Oneirism – Dreamscapes in Exhibition in Dubai (Foundry Downtown by Emaar, sponsored by the Italian Institute of Culture of Abu Dhabi) and in Bangkok at River City Bangkok Photographer’s Gallery. His earlier exhibitions include presentations in Rome at the Museo Carlo Bilotti during the Rome Film Festival, as well as shows across Italy, Lithuania, and other European cultural centers. His work has consistently been recognized by the International Photography Awards (IPA), receiving awards and multiple honorable mentions between 2017 and 2025. In recent years, Antonio’s practice has expanded to include long-term curatorial and cultural projects. In 2025, he curated the Assouline Legend Collection coffee table book Ode to a Camel by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, overseeing concept development, visual coherence, and artistic direction. He also conceived and initiated Echoes of Arabia, a cultural heritage project dedicated to visual narratives of the Arabian Peninsula, commissioned by the Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Foundation for Cultural Creativity. Other ongoing projects include Dreams of Soweto, an artistic exploration of dignity, hope, and human resilience. His recent commercial portfolio includes major productions for Waldorf Astoria Platte Island and Canopy Seychelles, Bulgari Residences Dubai, Peninsula Hotels, Hilton flagship properties, and numerous luxury destinations across Europe and the Middle East. Across all contexts, Antonio maintains a singular artistic voice, merging fine art sensibility with the highest standards of luxury visual communication. Antonio Saba’s work ultimately exists in a space where architecture becomes narrative, human presence becomes symbol, and photography becomes a tool for poetic and timeless storytelling.
